Delfino able to support Canbus FD?

I’m currently using the TI F28335 DSP with Canbus 2.0, I’m looking into upgrading our systems to Canbus FD, but I don’t know very much about it, if our current DSP is compatible, or which TI Canbus FD chip I should use for our application.

    Hello,

    28335 CAN module cannot support CAN-FD. Though it is in our roadmap, none of the current C2000 devices in production (or in pre-production stage) has a on-chip CAN-FD module. I would be very interested in knowing about your application that could benefit from CAN-FD.     We have about 500 embedded data acquisition devices, and we connect about 30 devices on each CANbus.  On occasion we need to stream several hundred MB of data over the CANbus, and with CAN 2.0 speeds this can take several hours.  This is the reason we are looking at CAN-FD.  I was mistaken, we are using the 28346 DSP, but it is good to know that the C2000 series does not support CAN-FD.  Any suggestions?

    We do not have CAN-FD solution right now, unfortunately. You may want to look at a CAN-SCI bridge and use RS-485 to achieve higher bit rates.
