F28027F only enable one phase ACIM PWM & PMSM error detection

Question (1)

We would like to output only one phase of ACIM PWM output at one time to help hardware problem validation during mass production. How to enable only one channel of PWM (eg.phase U), while disable 2 phases of PWM (eg.V and W disabled), the phase V and W PWM pins set to 1 or 0 which switch off MOSFET driver (we used IR2101S)

Question (2)

We found that sometimes, the motor under driving may lose synchronization when drive to extra high speed, and turn into high frequency vibrating instead of rotating as expected. We hope the software can detect such situation and restart the controller, is there any run-time variables can tell such situation happens ?

     Thanks in advance.

  • Q1. In mass production environment, it is not practical to change software. You will have to consider some hardware based approach like having zero ohm resistor bridge connecting / disconnecting signals.

Q2. If the difference between set speed and actual speed varies a lot, then you can invoke a safe shutdown and restart sequence. Or, you can perform an FFT on speed fbk and verify if there are oscillations. On this basis, you can set up a safe restart sequence. We don't have any example projects to recommend though.
