PMSM FOC

Vph out from inverter is based on Vdc, VdTesting and VqTesting. At max modulation, it will be around (Vdc*1.15/2.sqrt(2)). Ensure that the sqrt(vdtesting^2 + vqtesting^2) is not > 1.
I would recommend leaving the VdTesting at say 0.5 and then gradually increase Vdc and see if how it works out.

1) How much dc bus voltage is required to run the motor at rated speed ?

2) Are we normalising Vd , Vq values w.r.t Vdc or Vrated?

3) My PMSM motor is rated for 200V, 200Hz, 3000rpm, 8 pole, star connected (EMJ -04 PB22)

Here 200 V means line - line RMS right ? Other parameters like inductance, resistance are given in line to line terms.

Therefore,  

200=(Vdc*1.15/2.sqrt(2))*sqrt(3)

and Vdc = 283.9V right ?

1. At rated flux, you will need rated voltage.
2. In sw, 1.0 pu refers to the voltage that saturates the ADC reading.
3. Some inverter motor mfrs spec the dc bus voltage. I am not too sure what it means here.

I recommend to start from a low dc voltage and gradually increase.

I contacted Estun motors people and they replied that 200V is power supply for servo driver(line to line RMS).
