Making BEEPS using the motor as speaker

I see that hobby controllers send some sort of waveform/pulses to the motor that it sounds like a beeping speaker. They do that on power up and then they go back to normal usage mode. Can Motorware/Instaspin be used to do such a thing? Any suggestions?

I've seen a thread on this topic before, but not sure there was a resolution. I'm not exactly sure how that's done....I would assume a variable high frequency injection. you may want to search on some of the hobby / maker type of forums.

BTW - do you really want your motors for that huge drone to beep!?!

quick search on hobby forums:
The esc sends pulsing current to only one of the three windings.

for example 440Hz is an "A"

I think it's a cool feature that they beep like that on power up so people around can walk away when it's live. I could make them beep when it's powered and not moving so nobody goes close to props accidentally
