what is the diffrence between release and flash in ccs6.1?

hi,

i am using a ccs6.1 with motorware16 for running a instaspin_foc on a f28069 IC.

there is a problem in my programming.

when i compile and debug the program in release mode, the program work fine but when i use it in flash mode, the program doesn't work.

could any one told me, what is the problem?

is there because of compiler or ic?

release is RAM only.
in Flash mode it depends on where in flash you put your code. you also need to have the proper boot switches enabled on your hardware.

what exactly do you mean by "program doesn't work"

i want to program the labs of motorware to F28069 and run it. in release mode it work but when i use the flash mode and press play in debug, the program doesn't work. i test projlab01.

try it with one of the actual motor control labs. I've used several in flash mode and they work fine. This may just be an issue with lab01 which is to just blink an LED.
