Control DRV 8302 kit using external source?

Hello TI,

I’m a new user to DRV 8302-HC-C2-KIT, and I’m working on a motor controller for a 48V sensorless brushless dc motor, I was able to spin the motor right out of the box with this kit and control the speeds by varying the pwm signals using instaspin-bldc gui. Now, I want to get away from using the gui and take in pwm signals from an external source to control my motor, so I want to know if I can control the motor with the J5 40-pin external control. Can someone please guide me please and thanks.

John,
you would have to write your own code to take in a PWM duty cycle through an eCAP/GPIO. You could also use a serial port or something like the analog POT on the board. There are some generic code examples for similar things in controlSUITE.

Hello, I have a similar problem, I am controling 2 drv8302 kit, and I have to transmite a reference for my control betwen them, so, I need take out the reference from one DRV to put inside the other DRV,

which is the best and simple way to do this??

any serial port available (SCI, SPI, I2C, CAN) or digital I/O

depending on your needs

there are no examples that are kit specific.

the general SPI examples for F2803x are at:
