How to supply a power to LaunchPad-F28377S?

Hi!

I checked the manual "sprui25a" with scheme. But, i think this manual is too simple to obtain enough information (Some parts in the scheme are difficult to understand).

I wonder how to provide a power for the LaunchPad-F28377S by an external power source!

Is it possible to give 3.3v or 5v external power to the LaunchPad?  How to configure the LaunchPad ?

In the scheme, +5V is generated by the IC (boost up from 3.3V input). Thus,  external power (+5V) may be not useful in this launchpad. (It can not generate 3.3V from external 5V).

please give information about it.

    Power given from usb i.e launch pad connected pc via usb cable from this usb cable we are 5v after that 5v converted into 3.3v
  • Thank you for your conaideration. My title of question may be confused you. I wonder How to use not usb power but external power for dsp.

    You can supply both 3.3V and 5V external power supplies directly to the header pins. However, if you want to do this, you need to make sure you remove both jumpers on JP1 and JP2. This will isolate the board from the PC to ensure no electrical damage. Additionally, you want to make sure that you set appropriate current limits on both power supplies otherwise you could easily damage the microcontroller. Start with 250 mA on both rails and then increase in small amounts if necessary.

    i want to give supply from 5v rail to 8*1 analog multiplexer SN74LV4051A, 5 no.of motor drivers DRV8835, 6 no.of INA326 and LAUNCHXL-F28377S's jp5
    from 3.3v rail to LAUNCHXL-F28377S's jp4 and MSP-EXP430G2
    and i'm connecting another 2 motor drivers DRV8833 to 9v from the 12v battery using 7809 regulator and 4no. of TLO74 to the battery
    my question is...is it safe to connect like that? is the current from the battery is required enough to all the components?

    can u please tell me where i has to connect to the ground on LAUNCHXL-F28377S...when i'm applying 3.3v and 5v externally to jp4 and jp5 by removing jp1 and jp2.
