How to Unlock flash of TMS320F28335?

I am using a TMS320F28335 controller and recently the flash got locked. And I am not able to unlock it. So I am unable to flash code into controller.

I have tried to access the password storage memory locations, but it shows 0x0000h (locations 0x33FFF8 to 0x33FFFF) data. I have tried to put default value (0xFFFF) for unlocking the flash but it didn't work. It gives a messege showing 'check whether password data locations are writeable'..

I am attaching the screenshot of memory map, Can anybody please help me out to unlock the controller?

Hi Swanand,

I hope you put the controller in wait mode before unlocking?

Also if you have not programmed the passwords yourself and know what is programmed then it'll be difficult to unlock the device. Device will not get unlock by entering default password values (0xFFFF_FFFF).

No I haven't programmed password by myself. How do I get the device unlocked??

As you've not programmed the password, how will you unlock it? I hope your controller has not entered the permanent lock mode. If so, then you won't be able to unlock and replacement of the device is the only option.

Is there any option like we can read the password storage locations viz 0x33FFF8 to 0x33FFFF and try to enter the same to unlock it??

If you have not programmed the password values but still see the content at password locations (or content at all Flash location) as 0x0 then it's very likely that device is locked either due to password values becoming 0x0 (interruption during flash program/erase operations) or programmed with some random value (due to SW error).

Once passwords are programmed, password storage locations will always show the value as 0x0. User need to remember the password programmed to unlock the device and if passwords are not known then user need to replace the device.
