f28035 jtag connection failure XDS100v2

XRS is connected to vcc (3.3V) through a resistor.

Still not able to get it connected. When tried with sample project, it gives error as below

C28xx: File Loader: Data verification failed at address 0x003F664E Please verify target memory and memory map.

C28xx: GEL: File: D:\Projects\2016\Uday\Firmware\Example_28035_Flash\Debug\Example_28035_Flash.out: a data verification error occurred, file load failed.

I have tried with another debugger XDS510LC, no difference same error.

Also verified the tracks TMS/TCK/TDI/TDO, all very short less than 6-7 cm to connector.

Another board of 28035PN (80 pin) working OK with same connection.

Schematic attached.

Any idea, what could be the problem? Any help appreciated

Hi Vijayan,

My recommendation is to look at XRSn with a voltmeter. 

Once powered on, if XRSn is always low, then the device is not being powered correctly or something big like this is wrong.  
If XRSn goes high (most of the time), then the device is being powered and the device is able to run code after boot.  JTAG routing, emulator, etc are most likely problems.

This should give you some idea on which portion of your board to look at.

Thanks for the suggestions, finally got it resolved. It was due to wrong decoupling.

The type of capacitor used for all (5 nos) power supply pins changed from 2.2uF electrolytic to 2.2uF ceramic, also added 0.1uF in parallel.
