saram selection



sir i am using tms320f28335experimenter's kit. i am using some program to configure adc's. i really require boot in saram mode. here in specification says use gpio pin to select that. my quistion is this possible to select saram mode by ccs v6 like f28069 by ccs.

    What do you mean by  "like F28069"? You have boot pins there too.

    The boot-loading process is slightly different between these devices.  On F28335 the boot was determined only by GPIO pins.  On the later F28069 device the process depended on whether an emulator was connected when the device was reset.  If so, the boot depended on the values held in specific locations in internal memory.  There are GEL scripts in CCS which can be used pre-populate these locations, which I think is what you are referring to.  Therefore, you have to use the GPIO pins to control the boot on F28335 - there are no GEL scripts.

    The attachment shows similar slides taken from the training materials for these two devices.
