TMS320F28335 DMA address pointer and transfer control.

HI,

I was going through the DMA peripheral document provided by TI and got confused in section 6.

it says "The BURST_SIZE register allows a maximum of 32 sixteen-bit words to be transferred in one burst" .

As per my understanding the data bus is 32 bit. How can i transfer 32 sixteen bit words in a burst. should it be 32 bit word is transferred in a burst?

Hi Ankit,

Documentation is correct. All the values are in 16bit words. It's independent of data size (which could be 16bit or 32bit).

This is also mentioned in the definition of "data Size" configuration bit in "Mode Register".
