Hello friends,

We have our F27377D board acting as USB device for host computer in Windows. It works fine with Windows 7 PC after we installed the driver from controlSuite at ~Utilities folder. However, the same driver does not work for Windows 8 (and probably newer ones either). I saw some old posts about this issue a few years ago. Has TI updated the USB drivers (particularly for USB bootloader) for Windows 8 yet?

Thank you Sal for your reply.

However, I downloaded the current ICDI driver and put it into a folder on my laptop, and tried to update the driver using "Search for driver software in this location". But it comes back with a message saying "Windows was unable to install your Virtual COM Port, Windows could not find driver software for your device".

When I tried to update with driver from ControlSuite, it seems to find the driver and tried to install it but ended up with a different message.

"Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software fir your device

WIndows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it" TI USB Serial port.

The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering.

We hope to have some updated drivers compatible with Windows 8 and Windows 10 in the Fall sometime.

Good to hear that. 　Ｉguess that it will be released as part of a new release of ControlSuite? Anyhow, thanks for your reply and I will mark this thread as "answered" now. I'm looking forward to hearing from you again in the near future Sal!
