Can TMS320F28035 run without crystal?

Hello,

I am new ti C2000 32 bit microcontrollers. In some of microcontrollers crystal Oscillators are in built.

As mentioned in Datasheet of TMS320F28035 there are two onchip oscillators available so may I know that can I work with it without any crystal oscillator or resonator.

Take a look under F28035, and there is a student guide - chapter 5 goes into detail about the clocking available.

Hi Abhishek,

External crystal or oscillator is very much required. Check section '3.6.1 OSC and PLL Block' onwards.

Hi Abhishek,

A crystal/resonator is not required for the F28035 to operate. You can run the device from the internal oscillators. You just need to make sure that the accuracy of the internal oscillator is acceptable for your application if you are using certain comms. See section 3.7.1 and table 6-5 in the datasheet for more information. Datasheet link:
