DRV8312-69M-KIT EVALUATION No Speed Reading

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INSTASPIN-BLDC, TMS320F28069, DRV8312, MOTORWARE, TMDSCNCD28035ISO

Hi, I just picked up the DRV8312-69M-Kit. I install the InstaSPIN-BLDC code and GUI and it does not sense a speed change in the motor. The gui does display Flux, Back EMF, Current but maxes out the speed with default settings to 24491 RPM.

The kit contained the F2806X ISO controlCARD R0.4 and DRV8312EVM RevD

JP1: VR1

JP2: Shorted

M1: H

RSTA: MCU

RSTB: MCU

RSTC: MCU

Using CCS 6.1.1:

Create new target

Conection - Texas Instruments XDS100v2 USB Debug Probe

Board/Device - TMS320F28069

Load program to Device

InstaSPIN-BLDC_GUI_DRV8312_v104.out

I remove power and unplug, then apply power and connect the board.

After launching InstaSPIN-BLDC_GUI_DRV83xx_v104.exe all light are green. I can start continuous read for flux, emf, current. Regardless of duty cycle the speed does not change from anything other than 0 RPM when the motor is not running or 24491 RPM when it is running. I can confirm the motor speed does vary based on duty cycle.

Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated.
