TMS320F28027

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28027

Hello!
I have a small board using tms320f28027. Usually current consumption is 0.13/0.11 A - depends on using jtag xds100v3 or not. At some moment something get wrong and I couldn`t debug. I found that current consumption became about 0.07/0.05 A accordingly. There is 0 volts on TRST pin(2), as I remember there should be some level about "1".
I cant change tms write now.

Any idea how to check operability and fix this problem?

TRST should be pulled down and should be at 0. Do you get any error while debugging?

  • Hi!
It`s started to work again after i disconnect jtag and switch to usb jtag alone for his identifying. I did some simple manipulations like this (connect/disconnect jtag to board). At some moment current consumption became normal and jtag was identified when it was connected to board. It`s strange, because all connections on board looks fine.
There is a pull-down 2.2 k on pin 2 (TRST). And when it`s all ok there is RMS: 3.12 V exactly on TRST.
  • Great that I started working again.
