which portion doesn't show a connection? CCS debugger? A GUI application?

are you using LAUNCHXL-F28027F and using MotorWare for InstaSPIN-FOC?

if you are using the above run MotorWare.exe and follow the documentation under Resources for your specific hardware

GUI doesn't show. yes,i am using LAUNCHXL-F28027F and MotorWare for InstaPIN-FOC.
Earlier i tried flashing code using CCS , couldn't do it due to some error.
I was also told that i need not upload any code to use bldc motor, that the code was already burned.

There is no code automatically loaded to the Launchpad. You must build the code using CCS and load using CCS or the GUI Composer application.

Are you powering the kit through the BOOSTXL-DRV83x Power?
Do you have the jumpers and swtiches set correctly on the Launchpad?

When you build a project in CCS are you able to connect to the target and load the binary?

GUI doesn't show the connection.
I think the switches are in right position, but can you help me cross check them .

try with CCStudio. Can you connect to the target?
