Dear All,
While I was evaluating one of the example software projects coming with the controlSTICK, I found the followings:
The TZ1 (pin# 8 in the 32-pin pin header) was connected to the GPIO 18 (pin# 29 in the 32-pin pin header), then the connection was monitored with CH# 2 of a scope.
The ePWM-1A (pin# 17 in the 32-pin pin header) was monitored with CH# 1 of a scope.
The trigger of the scope was set to be on CH# 2, falling edge and 'normal' mode.
The experiment set is the same as the documentation in the project directory and can be seen in the attached photo 'DSC06726_small.JPG' (the first photo).
When the 'TZ1' signal is asserted by toggling the GPIO 18 bit in the watch window of the CCS (as directed by the documentation), the pwm signal stops about 10ms before the actual assertion of the TZ1 (=GPIO 18) signal. This can be seem in the scope screen capture 'DSC06728_small.JPG' (the seond photo). It almost looks like the controlSTICK 'anticipates' the coming of the signal.
Would anyone offer clarification for this situation?
Thank you,
In Kwon Park
