Fault in DRV8312-69M-KIT

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8312, MOTORWARE

Dear,everyone:
Two weeks ago I was bought a DRV8312EVM board( DRV8312-69M-KIT  RevD) on TI store.everything was fine until to test the Project Lab 5b.

When I load the program and turning it on,the BLDC motor does not spin, and little of smoke have appeared on the board,This happend immediately.
I shut down the power, disconnect the BLDC motor and 28069M ControlCard to detected separately. The F28069M iso-controlcard and BLDC motor is completely undamaged. But the DRV8312EVM board looks a little problem.

I measured the resistance between PVDD and GND,and only 2.89Ohm.This means that some parts of the circuit board is short-circuited.
I want to know what happened, how can I deal with?

  • I would guess that you applied too much voltage on the DRV8312 board, that's pretty much the only way to damage these EVMs.
I would also check that you loaded the correct project, that you built project 5b from

although I've never seen a board damaged from loading the wrong project
