TMDXDOCK28075 Mechanical Drawing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE, TMDSDOCK28379D

We are looking for the mechanical drawing for the TMDXDOCK28075.

Can you please provide the TMDXDOCK28075 mechanical drawing?

  • Hi,

Please take a look at the following directory within controlSUITE (once it is installed):
    \controlSUITE\development_kits\~controlCARDs\TMDSCNCD28075_v1_2\

The pcb file associates with Mentor PADS.  Gerbers are also available in the directory.

    Thank you,
    Brett

  • Brett,

I was hoping to play around with the EMIF as well. Can you speak to how difficult this will be using the controlCARD? I know the GPIO are broken out, I'm just concerned with sigint with external RAM.

    Thanks,
    TJ
  • Hi TJ,

If you want to experiment with EMIF, I would recommend moving up to the TMDSDOCK28379D.

    ===

The TMD*DOCK28075 does not bring all of its GPIO to headers - just as many as could fit through one slot of the HSEC controlCARD connector (120pins). Some of the EMIF required pins are left out and stay at the MCU pin.  Please take a look at the schematic in controlSUITE for more details.

The TMDSDOCK28379D contains a controlCARD which consists of two HSEC slots (for a total of 180pins).  You should be able to either find a way to connect the chip to an EMIF through some aggregation of the Docking Station breakout headers OR via the external connector J9 on the controlCARD.

Also note that the F28379D MCU can be considered a superset to the F28075.  Hardware and software development should be extremely similar between the two chips.

    Thank you,
    Brett
