I am willing to design a TMS320C28346 system with external FLASH atached to the XINF bus.
The system shall use the RS-232 SCIRXDA and SCITXDA for boot loading.
The problem is that the same pins are required for XZCS6 and XA19.
Therefore, I either connect them to my FLASH scarifying the boatload support,
Or connect them to my RS-232 transceiver, and have no FLASH interface.
Of coarse, I can build some glue logic and multiplexers external to the TMS320C28346 to solve this problem.
but such a solution would be expensive and PCB real estate consuming.
Are there any suggestions?
Is there any reference design that solve this issue?
By the way, the same problem exist if I choose to boatload with CAN instead of RS-232/
