TMDSSOLARCEXPKIT Not Connecting To My Laptop (<Unknown source>#13)

Hello,

For some reason, I'm not able to get any connection whatsoever between my PC and the Development kit. Please see picture of the device as well as the error message (<Unknown source #13>) I get from the GUI below.

The default emulator that came up was XDS100v1 which didn't work. I changed that to XDS100v2 via app settings, but it didn't make any difference.

I've tried a different board and it worked, but this one isn't connecting at all. Same issue occurs on other PCs.

Could it be a faulty board? What am I doing wrong?

First of all, I notice that the board in your picture is from the TMDSSOLARUINVKIT kit (not the TMDSSOLARCEXPKIT).

In your response, you've stated that the GUI was able to work on a different board.  What board were you able to get a GUI to work with?  [1] Another TMDSSOLARUINVKIT or [2]] some other C2000 kit?

If [1], I'd double check connectors, jumpers, etc on the kit that isn't able to connect.
If [2], I would suggest carefully re-going through the QSG guide for the TMDSSOLARUINVKIT.  One thing I notice is that in your picture, the C2000 chip on the controlCARD is not powered (ie LD1 is not lit).

    Thank you,
    Brett

  • Hey Brett,

I started from scratch and it's working now. Thank you!
