TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT Development Kit

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE, TMDSHVMTRINSPIN, MOTORWARE

Hi

I have a TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT Development Kit .

Can someone  help me to make running  a washing machine motor?  It is a direct drive LG motor..

Thank you in advance

Florin Popescu

  • I suggest using InstaSPIN-FOC or -MOTION, it will run quite quickly. It would be quite challenging to do with the eSMO code in controlSUITE provided with your kit.

you an use the same inverter, just purchase TMDSCNCD28069MISO (which means you then have TMDSHVMTRINSPIN kit) for InstaSPIN capability.

you can start with the GUI provided and then move onto the embedded projects provided in MotorWare

you should be careful about regeneration from these motors to the inverter. The voltages will eventually be larger than the bus, especially as you do field weakening. The currents can also be larger than the HW can handle, especially under load and back and forth motions.
  • Thank you Chris
It is a pleasure to work with Texas Instruments team.
    I will purchase the TMDSCNCD28069MISO
  • Hi Chris
    Is amazing how the DD BLDC washing machine run with TMDSCNCD28069MISO ;
Have constant rpm at different load.
But I have a big problem
When I stopped the motor from 1800 rpm the TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT who now is TMDSHVMTRINSPIN (after your advice) is out of work. Was a very big bang and now my kit is dead.
    What you advice me?
    Have it any warranty ?
I bought this Kit last month. I has no load and not flywheel or another inertia mass. I played with it maybe only one hour.
    Thank you for your help

unfortunately your board has experienced an over voltage event and is damaged. it would need to be repaired by you to work again.
