HFI (high frequency injection) method can be divided into high frequency voltage injection and high frequency current injection. But in many theses, high frequency voltage injection are adopted. So, comparing with high frequency current injection, does high frequency voltage injection have any advantages?

You need to inject voltage to get the current, and the estimations need current feedback.

HFI can get more correct position angle in very low speed or zero speed, but it only work well on a saliency PMSM. We often use high frequency voltage inject for it is easy to do and not need more inverter parameters and voltage sensing ciruit.
