I have a question for TMS320F240PQA, please let me know your advice.

One of my customer requested to deliver TMS320F240PQA 2.4Ku.

If it’s impossible due to obsolete, can SM320F240PQA support same function with TMS320F240PQA?

I can’t find the datasheet of SM320F240PQA.

And when I found TMS320F240PQA, I saw below message.

If SM320F240PQA can’t support same function with TMS320F240PQA, can TMS320F2808 can support same function with TMS320F240PGA?

(I can’t find datasheet of SM320F240PQA)

And if customer design start with TMS320F2808 instead of TMS320F240PGA, what is key check list?

Chloe,

I wouldn't recommend using the F240, assuming you can even find it. The debug tool chain for that device is obsolete and no debug support is available from us. F2808 has the peripheral set of F240 and much more. While these two devices are functionally equivalent, be aware that they are not code compatible. Even among peripherals that exist in both devices, there are considerable differences.

How about SM320F240PQA?

Correct part number is SMJ320F240. It is functionally identical to the commercial version, but comes in a different package.
