F28075 Illegal Interrupt

Hi Team –

Posting this on behalf of a customer.

Currently using F28075. They currently have a RAM version code, which runs fine. The next step is to write the code to the on-chip flash, and run it from the flash.

When the code is written to flash, there are no errors during building. However, it is always stopping at illegal interrupt.

Can you please provide some comments to help move past this issue?

Hi Daniel,

Customer is getting this error with CCS (debugger) connected or standalone. I am assuming it's with CCS connected but just want to make sure.

Assuming they have CCS connected, did they try to step through the code to see when code jumps to illegal interrupt (assuming it's ITRAP?)

The stack is in page 1 RAM M1. The start address is 400 and length is 100. When code stopped, the SP value is 228.

David,

Like Vivek said, you have to step though your code and try to understand why you get illegal interrupt. Did you try the suggestions mentioned in this link?

I met another problem which happened when I am trying to write code to flash. There is a runtime error when the code is being writing to the flash (please see the attachment). So would you please tell me how to solve this problem?

I have solved illegal ISR issue.

But when I disconnect XDS100V2 from target board and turn off and turn on power, code did not automatic run.

Could you give me some suggestion for solve this issue?

Hi Dan,

Have they checked the BOOTMODE pin values on board to make sure it is setup for BOOT to Flash?
