Flash - Microcontroller - TMS320F28069PNT

I have code composer studio on my machine. I also have TMDSCNCD28069MISO for programming.  I would like to program 28069 present on my board using TMDSCNCD28069MISO. I have MAX3232CPWR for serial interface and all the microprocessor connections are available on the connector. How should I proceed next? Which connector goes where? Again the goal is to program my device.

Thanks,

Ranjit

  • Ranjit,

While it is theoretically possible to use the on-board XDS100V2 ControlCard emulator to program a different device, it's not an application we recommend or really support. None of the JTAG pins are broken out between the emulator and the F28069M device, so your only real option would be to strip the isolation ICs (U19-U22) and blue wire from the traces that remain. If you wish to undertake that, please refer to the F2806x ISO ControlCard v0.4 schematic available in Control Suite.

I would instead recommend purchasing an external JTAG debugger and using that as a dedicated, TI-verified method of programming your C2000 devices. Please consider purchasing something like this: www.ti.com/.../TMDSEMU100V2U-14T
