Connect 4 F28069 vertical COM with Windows XP by USB hub

Dear Experts

My customer connected four F28069 parts through virtual COM by USB hub on Windows XP.
The connection can be detected when they apply the software of “USB View”.
The screen shot is shown below:


But sometimes one or two virtual COM of F28069 will drop and not recognized by Windows XP when using Microsoft Management Console (MMC) to detect the connection.
If they only connect two F28069 parts through virtual COM by USB hub on Windows XP , it works well.
If they connect four F28069 parts through virtual COM by USB hub on Win 7, it works well too.
Do you have any comment about this issue?

Customer can update thei OS to Win 7 to solve this issue.
But for old machine which installed Windows XP, they still need a solution to solve it.

    Hi Jefferey,

    The question is not completely clear to me.  What does the system look like here?

    [1] Computer -> USB hub -> USB to SCI converter -> F28069 GPIO pins that are configured as SCI?
    or
    [2] Computer -> USB hub -> F28069 GPIO pins that are used as USB?


    If [1], I don't think the issue is the C2000 device.  Instead the problem is likely with the Windows drivers for the USB to SCI converter.

    Yes, it is case [1].
    I also think this is a driver issue on Windows XP.
    So do you have other customers to give you this kind of feedback?
    I mean the USB hub with 4 F28069 cannot work on Windows XP.
    And is there any comment to solve this issue?

    Hi Jefferey,

    If the converter is NOT physically on the PCB board, then you could buy and try out a different USB<->Serial converter.

    If the converter is on the board or changing the converter is not possible, then I'd recommend talking to the manufacturer of the converter.  They may have some tips.

    Just to be clear, this doesn't appear to be a problem with the C2000 device.
