TIDM-HV-1PH-DCAC Single Phase Inverter Design

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDM-HV-1PH-DCAC

           Hi,

I want to ask a question about Single phase Inverter Design which is TIDM-HV-1PH-DCAC . By default, a full-bridge topology is used with four IGBTs and switching frequency is 20 kHz. I want to work at higher frequencies with different semiconductors. I will build a module for this purpose and implement it to the development kit. I am wondering this EVM will be problematic or not at higher frequencies. Is there any limitations for this? Thanks.

  • Alican,

The Kit uses Gate driver modules for the gate drive , these i think will be ok with 40KHz switching beyond which you may have to use some other gate driver design.

Also when you start switching at high frequencies layout will play more and more of a role and it's hard to predict, and something you will learn from experimentation with the design.

All the best for your project.
