TMS320F28035 debug and power questions

Team,

My customer is asking:

I am working with a CC2803X ISO DIMM REV 1.3. When using CCS I am trying to use the XDS100v? USB debug as the debug type. Which version should I be using?

Can I power the TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT control card with the 15VDC and still test and program the control card with the USB input?

Thanks

Viktorija

  • Hi Viktorija,

    It is an xds100v1.

Yes, assuming things are set up correctly.

    • A USB-mini cable should be plugged into the controlCARD's J1.
    • The controlCARD's SW3 should be switched ON.
    • A 15V supply should be provided to the High-voltage motor control kit at [M6]-JP1.  [M6]-SW1 should then be flipped appropriately.  [Main]-J4 also needs to be jumpered.
    • I might recommend unpopulating [Main]-J9.  With the ISO controlCARD, you will be unable to use the [M3] emulator - instead you can only use the emulator on the cCARD itself.

If done correctly LD1 and LD4 on the controlCARD will be lit.  The controlCARD should then be able to connect to CCS.

    Hopefully this helps!

    Thank you,
    Brett
