LAUNCHXL-F28377S: LAUNCHXL-F28377S => controlSuite => Exampleproject vs. ExampleCode

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28377S
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Hello there,

i´m starting to use the LAUNCHXL-F28377S Launchpad and have installed controlSuite and CCS.
In the contrioSuite Getting Started Guide section 3.2 is described, how to import projects into CCS.

Now i see there are "CCS projects" and "Example Projects". (1) The Example Projects seem not to be "ready to be imported CCS Projects", right?
I tried to open them directly from thier folder by clicking the CCSPROJECT or the CPROJECT Files. In result CCS starts, but nothing is loaded. (2) Feels like the examples are not supposed to be used like that?/How do i use them?

best regards,
Jasson

  • Hi Keyur,

    i have doubt , that the linked wiki thread meets my situation. I think it´s not the reason that is related to MSP instead C2000.

    1.)
    I tried the copy-paste-approach descibed in "Create a new project, then copy-and-paste your code" section.
    I made an "empty main" project in CCS and coppied the content of the main file of the example
    "\ti\controlSUITE\device_support\F2837xS\v210\F2837xS_examples_Cpu1\epwm_deadband\cpu01".
    To be honest, i expected to get error messages, since this copy-paste feels a bit foreign to me. (Error : can not open source file SF28x_Project.h").

    2.)
    Section "Or, use the new TI Resource Explorer integrated into CCSv5.2 and later" describes to use the "TI Resource Explorer" inside CCS, but the
    installed controSuite is reached by "View->Rescource Explorer Classic"
