CCS/TMS320F28335: structure data alignement

Part Number: TMS320F28335

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

dear All,

in "DSP2833x_Adc.h" file, please consider the bellowing picture as an example:

I have three questions:

- is this for alignment reason which one bit or some bits be defined as Uint16?

- why Uint16 rather than Uint32?

- does it mean that a bit occupies 2/4 bytes in memory!?

regards,

Ras
