LAUNCHXL-F28069M: InstaSPIN-FOC induction motor speed limit

Going through the Labs for MotorWare, I have found that I can't seem to push the speed of my test motor, a 3-phase induction motor, beyond 1200 rpm even though the motor is rated at 2800 rpm.

Any particular reason for this restriction? Can it be modified?

Are you testing this with no load? Are you reaching the current limit of the hardware? Please post your user.h so we can have more information about your system.

1031.user_j5.hSorry for the late reply. I am testing with a small fixed load, and some amount of dynamic load, applied through a metallic bush.

For induction machines the maximum speed is highly dependent on the magnetizing current. I suppose that you may have chosen this current to high; try a lower one to spin faster.
