Some questions about instaspin_lab.pdf figure 73 and figure 78

in Figure 73: The new ctrl version that only contains the PI speed, Id, and Iq controllers. The rest of the FOC modules are implemented in the main ISR, FAST's input is Ialpha,Ibeta, which are stator's current, and

in Figure 78: The block diagram of the whole IPD_HFI, FAST, and AFSEL control system,IPD_HFI's input is Idq,EST's input is Ida, Vdq,

1)  what's their differences?

2)  in figure 78, how to sample Vabc in hardware?

3) FAST in Figure 73 is equal to EST in Figure 78?

4) in IPD_HFI, high frequency signal is injected into dq axis or alpha-beta axis?

thanks a lot.

  • 1) Figure 78 adds the HFI and automatic frequency select (AFSEL) blocks to the FOC control system, which are the added modules for lab21
    2) Vabc are sampled by the ADC via low-side shunts
    3) FAST and EST are the same thing
    4) HFI signal is injected onto uvw, translated to alpha-beta, and translated again to d-q to align angle along the q-axis
