TMDSHV1PHINVKIT: what is the Maximum output power of this inverter?

I have confused with this broad ratings.

I have seen that this is 600W inverter, but in the testing part, there we have to connect 1000W load.

What is the maximum load this inverter can handle?

According to IGBT datasheets, this could handle over 1000 W.  so this inverter should capable of handling more than 1000W.

I am going to modify this inverter inot 6 kW one. so what I am going to do is change gate drivers and mosfets, will it work?

Please help me.

  • In a power supply there are always components that may be rated for higher than what the final power supply is, there are multiple reason for this

    1. Designers want margin in the design to tolerate faults

    2. The lowest power rating component dictates the final output power

    For this design the inductor is the bottle neck and hence the power spec of the design. 

    You can modify on your design, and look at this as a reference. Based on your description you are on the right track.
