Hi TI Experts,

Please let me confirm the following question.

[Question]
According to the document which is Bootloader feature(sprufn5b.pdf), it is described about "Bit-Rate Values for Different XCLKIN Values" on table7. Should customer use those bit rate like 30MHz or 15MHz to XCLKIN? Or can they use any other more higher bit rate?

If you have any questions, please let me know.
Best regards.

  • Kaka,

The device you are referring to is 2834x, the sources for your device bootROM can be found in controlSuite (C:\ti\controlSUITE\libs\utilities\boot_rom\2834x)

The table 7 in Mc_BSP_Boot function section shows the bit rates for default PLLCR and PLLSTS as configured by boot ROM on power up. I'm not sure about the limitations of the McBSP peripheral, I will ask the peripheral expert to take a look at it.

    Best Regards
