TMS320F28069: Programing/debugging tool for F28069

Part Number: TMS320F28069

Hi,

1 - I'm using the Piccolo 28069 in my design and I'm wondering if there is a tool available to program/debug the processor.

Currently I'm using a F28069 ControlStick with external jumpers to be able to program/debug boards.  I'm hoping there is something from TI or a 3rd party that already does this job.

2 - My second option would be to incorporate the debugging circuitry used in the ControlStick on my board.

The controlStick basically uses ICs to do communicate from USB to the F28069.
-FT2232D and an EEPROM
Then my question becomes, do I need to program any of these ICs ?
The spec for FT2232D says there is "no USB specific firmware programing required"
and the EEPROM is used for booting up so I'm guessing it already has something written in it ?

I don't really want to take this approach unless I'm sure it is going to work.

Do I have any other options ?

thanks!

Offcourse there are various tools. The most economic tool being XDS100v2 -14pin

You can also checkout XDS200, XDS560.
