How to correctly setup GPIO External Interrupts for F28054M?

Hi TI,

Is there any documentations or tutorials regarding how to setup GPIO external interrupts? I tried to set up the interrupt, but it doesn't seem to not work correctly.

Any suggestions? Thanks for the helps!

Hi,

Please look at the external_interrupt example in controlSUITE. This is exactly the point of this example.

It shows how to increase the counter every time external interrupt happens.
But how can I read the data to make sure I actually receive the correct data from external interrupt?

Qiang,

What data are you referring to? The external interrupt is just simple edge detection with some qualification. The example shows how to configure the interrupt using a few different configurations (rising/falling edge, asynch/qualification). As an example, you are free to modify it to your requirements. If you require a different operation than a simple counter, you can do so.

If you explain your requirements a bit, I should be able to help out a little more.

After external interrupt triggers, I want to read the received data from GPIO_Port_A, how can I do so?

So I set GPIO8 as XINT1, when interrupt triggers, I want to read data from GPIO0-GPIO7

Please correct me if I am still misunderstanding your application.
You have some parallel data connected to GPIO Port A. You have an additional GPIO that is a trigger to notify that the data is ready.
GPIO0 = Trigger
GPIO31-GPIO16 = Data[bit 15] - Data[bit 0]

When GPIO0 is set (according to external interrupt settings), you can simply read GPIODAT. In the example above, you could read GPADAT.all and mask off the bits you don't care about. "(uint16_t)readData = (GpioDataRegs.GPADAT.all & 0xFFFF0000) >>16;"

Does this make sense?

Perfect. You can simply read the GPADAT for your response in the ISR.
