TMS320F28377D Protection of RAMSG0 RAM

Hello,

I ran into the following problem:

I had buffers much too big for my RAM and the Compiler allocated my variables to the RAMSG0 place which is neccesssary for my IPc communication.

This leads me to loose my communication with second CPU.

I d like to know if there is a solution in the .cmd file to insure this does not occur anymore.

How much space do your buffers require? are you generally running out of memory space?
One option is to use the #pragma DATA_SECTION() to declare explicitly where you want the buffer placed. Create a custom section in the .cmd file, and then use the DATA_SECTION pragma in your code when the value is declared.
See 6.9.7 of the Compiler Users guide for information on the DATA_SECTION pragma (www.ti.com/.../spru514l.pdf)

I did as suggested . My buffer jumped to the memory space after my shared RAM. Perfect!
