TMS320F28027F: Estimation of the execution time of a program

Hi,

I'm in a project developing some functions of digital relay used for protection on C2000 TMS320F28027F Piccolo LaunchPad
I have to roughly estimate the execution time for the program which will be built using C2000 library on simulink, Is there a method or tool can help me to estimate the time required for execution as I know the main tasks which my program is supposed to do?

Hi,
There are two ways easily possible
1) GPIO
-Set one gpio high at the starting of your code which you want to measure and then reset it after the code. The on time of pulse will be your time.
2)Profile clock in CCS
- processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Profile_clock_in_CCS
Have a look at this page it gives you some details about builtin code profiler in CCS.
