Good morning, I am doing a project name sensorless cotrol of induction motor. I am first time using code composer studioV4. I am following the instructions which TI send me with the motor control kit. When I select my project in code composer like the following

Select the root directory of the HVMotorCtrl+PFC. This will be: “C:\TI\controlSUITE\development_kits\HVMotorCtrl+PFC_v2.0\”

It shows the following message in code composer

Managed make project file error

could you please help me to resolve this error

This may not be related to your problem, but I recommend that you update CCS to at least version 6.1.2 - the latest is version 7.x, but so far the level of 6.1.2 seems to be a very stable setup. (BTW, past experience with version 4 for me was Not good, that is why I am recommending you update.)

Yes as Todd recommended, install a newer version of CCS. This will likely fix your issue.

Thank you so much for your reply. But the instructions that I received from TI with my project in the "how to run guide" recomended me to install code composer V4 and all instructions for software setup in this guide are related to V4. First I installed code composer V7 and tried to follow instructions but it did not work. If someone could send me the guide for software setup with code composer V7 then it would be helpfull for me. thank you

Hello,

We unfortunately don't have an updated guide for CCSv7, but I recommend using the "how to run guide" tagged with CCSv5 which will be closer. Most of the functionality and actions are the same between CCS versions except for some option naming.

Thank you so much. First I installed Code composer V7 and tried to install motor kit from controlSUITE but not successfull. V7 does not have the following option " Connection – Texas Instruments XDS100v1 USB Emulator". But I will try again. tahnk you

Hello

That connection is available in CCSv7, I see the naming has just slightly changed, select "Texas Instruments XDS100v1 USB Debug Probe".

Hi, I am working with code composer V7. Is there any option of Debugger simulator or anything to show my resultd when no hardware is connected.

There is no hardware simulator, you have to have hardware connected.

Hi, I bought a kit( HVMotorCtrl+PFC)from texas instrumentation. I am trying to download software related to my board(TMS320F38335). But not successfull. I am getting the following error most of the time when i proceed to debug my session in code composer.

Error connecting to the target:

(Error -1135 @ 0x0)

The debug probe reported an error. Confirm debug probe configuration and connections, reset the debug probe, and retry the operation.

(Emulation package 6.0.407.3)

Could you please help me to setup the software into my kit. is there any latest version of software setup guide that I could follow to complete my project because I have only two weks to complete my project and demonstrate to my teacher
