TIDM-HV-1PH-DCAC: Output modification

Part Number: TIDM-HV-1PH-DCAC
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Would it be possible to modify the code for this demo board to change the output from a sine wave to a square wave?  Would it also be possible to change the duty cycle of the square wave output?

Thanks for any input on if and how this could be done!

Regards,

Pete

  • Pete,

The complete software for this design is available through controlSUITE, the design is targeted for sinusoidal output generation,

It could work for square wave but i don;t know the frequency you want and also the slew rate you can tolerate for the rising and falling edges,

If you can provide some additional info i can provide more informed suggestion (please note as the design is mainly targeted for AC , so any info i provide is just suggestion).

For a square wave you may not need an LC filter, do you want to be able to control the amplitude of this square waveform?

  • Hello Manish,

Thank you for the response!  I would have a pretty wide tolerance on the slew rates.  I do need to avoid any significant overshoot or ringing at the output.

Frequency could be 60Hz.  A higher frequency up to 200Hz could also be used.  I would like to control the amplitude from 50-150 peak.

Thanks for the help, it is much appreciated!

    Regards,

    Pete
