TMS320F280049M: peripheral frame register section in F280049M TRM

Part Number: TMS320F280049M

Hi Champs,

Customer used F28035 before, they want to evaluate F280049M now. They check F280049 TRM which didn't mentioned peripheral frame register table. However, there is a peripheral frame register section in F28035 system control (sprugl8c). Could you please tell me do we have similar section in F280049 TRM ? thank you.

  • Hi Lisa,

How customer is using info provided in peripheral frame register table. I think this info was not very useful for user hence been removed.

  • Hi Lisa, Did we get feedback from customer on this?
  • Hi Vivek,

Sorry for late, customer didn't feedback this part. I think customer just wondering why this part is removed from TRM. thank you
  • Hi Vivek,

Sorry, I got customer response and he mentioned that he used assembly to develop SW. In assembly, there are 16bit access and 32 bit access. Therefore, they need to know the peripheral frame register table. Could we provide F280049M peripheral register table ? thank you

  • Hi Vivek,

Could you please give me update ? Do you need more information ? thank you!
  • Hi Lisa,

User need to check the peripheral section to know what type of access is supported for a peripheral. Peripherals are connected on different bus (or frame, as you pointed) based on CPU/DMA accessibility and not 16bit/32bit access. On this device, SPI/SCI/I2C/WD/NMIWD module supports only 16bit access and other modules supports 16bit as well as 32bit access. It'll be good to confirm this info from individual peripheral section in TRM as well.

  • Hi Vivek,

thanks for your reply. I check the datasheet and TRM, only EPWM section mentioned peripheral bus is 16bit or 32bit access. In other section, it didn't mention peripheral bus width. Could you please kindly let me know where I can find peripheral bus information ? thank you
