Dear Sir or Madame,

for a project we are using the Piccolo TMS320F28069 Isolated controlCARD. For a revision of a prototype we now want to make some minor changes to the design of the controlCard and therefore want to make our own card based on the original design. I am aware, that the gerbers and also the Orcad schematic file are available within control suite. To be quick it would be very helpfull to have access to the orcad layout file. Would that be possible?

Hi Florian,

The above controlCard's .pcb file has been created with Mentor PADS. You can use PADs Layout Viewer to open the file. I'm not sure whether orcad version for the same would be available.

Dear Gautam,

thank you for the quick reply. Did you attache a file? I can't see it. Actually we are using Altium Designer. I will figure out if there is a suitable import function.

Florian,

As Gautam mentioned, the layout files were created in Mentor PADS. This means that it cannot natively open in Altium. However, Altium provides an importer for this purpose. Please see the link on Altium's support site :techdocs.altium.com/.../Moving to Altium Designer from Pads Logic and PADS Layout
