Dear all,

A customer ask:

"Dear Sir or Madam,

I am working on the development kit (TMDXIDDK379D) and my problem is, to use the CAN - Interface to communicate with the controller. On pg.26 on table 4-4 of the DesignDRIVE Development Kit IDDK v2.2.1 Hardware is reported 3-pin CAN connector (H5) so we built up a CAN communication with an normal F28379D on a Controlcard Dockingboard. If we try to communicate with the development board over CAN interface, we don’t get a signal.

Is there any instruction how to use the CAN over this development kit? Do you have some example code?"

Hello,

There is a mistake in the board, the CAN signals Rx and Tx are swapped between H1 and U9. If this can be fixed, it may work. Let me know.

Hi Kaustubh,

As I mentioned before, the connection between CPU and CAN driver ISO1050 (RxD and TxD) are reversed / swapped. If you can fix that, it should work properly. It needs cutting these two traces and cross wire them at the driver side.
