I still find that the up-to-date version of the files posted on www.ti.com/.../TIDM-SOLARUINV do not match with my hardware.

My hardware is Rev. 4.0 while the one uploaded is Rev. 3.0.

Especially, the IC U24 shown in schematic Rev. 3.0 is different from the hardware.

Thank you for your answer. We are now porting the program from F28035 to F28069. We find that the gate driver IC on the flyback converter is easily to be burnt, I am not sure if it is related to the unexplained magic. By the way, thank you for your information provided.

No the unexplained magic was just the inconsistency in revision control we had on our end, we have more improved process now to mitigate these from happening in the future.

One issue that we did observe with the clamped flyback was that it had a minimum duty cycle required, otherwise the FET or the gate driver burnt, this was because of the active clamp and we mitigated it my putting a min duty cycle in the driver for the flyback when the PWMs are active.

Which build levels do you observe the issue at? Build level 1 ,2, or 3, is the INV running or it is observed when running Flyback alone?

Thank you for your important information. The gate driver will not burn after limiting the duty cycle of the Flyback converter greater than 0.1.

 

We are not porting the whole program “Build” by “Build”. we would like to make use of the Flayback converter inside the evaluation board and then integrate to our other application.

 

So far the MPPT feature and the PV current close loop control have been ported into F28069.

 

Here, we added an extra adapter board for our “specific application”.
