TMS320F28069M: Control a IPM motor with resolver

Part Number: TMS320F28069M

Hello,all.

For all I know,FOC software algorithm of InstaSpin supports SPM motor, but not for IPM.If we make Id = 0, cannot get to its maximum torque due to the saliency of the IPM motor.

D axis and Q axis inductance are not equal and they are also nonlinear with the increase of current(The red line represents the Q axis inductance, the blue line represents the D axis inductance.) :

If I want to control a IPM motor with resolver by 28069M,what should I do?

Does TI have a good solution?

Or some senior engineers of TI's local agency in china can provide technical support?

  • InstaSPIN-FOC is a sensorless FOC for PMSM & ACI, not related to SPM or IPM, and no dedicated algorithm for IPM now. Maybe you have to design yourself algorithm for Id control based on your motor profile if you used resolver for sensored-FOC.
  • The Motor Control Design Suite in our PSIM software does provide a solution for your application. The Design Suite helps to design current and speed controllers for a nonlinear IPM motor drive system with maximum torque per ampere control and field weakening control.

  • Powersim

    It's really a good news!!

Can you provide some demo video or material about MTPA (I can not see your official video from YouTube or Google due to policy restrictions in China)?Does it support code generation technology?Whether also support 2803X series ?

As far as I know there is a software named "vissim embedded" is doing the same thing as yours, can you introduce the difference with your product?

Whether there is some local dealers of this "The Motor Control Design Suite"  in China?
My company is a manufacturer(JMEV) about electric vehicles in China, not only is a good solution required for IPM motor control, but it has to a good support  for us.
Maybe we can become partners. :) Please let me know more about your products.

  • PSIM does offer the auto code generation capability with the generated code ready to run on TI MCUs. Currently, it supports TI F2833x, F2803x, F2802x, and F2806x series MCU.

There are many differences between PSIM and VisSim. But the biggest difference is that, in PSIM, you can model the power converter in its circuit form directly.

We do have local dealer and representatives in China that can provide you good support. Please send your contact information (business email and phone number) to support@powersimtech.com, and we will send you some material on the Motor Control Design Suite, and will try to help you further.

  • Powersim

I can not download PSIM,I always get a mistake on your website:

But I didn't see there was any CAPTCHA at all on the web page.

  • Powersim

I have sent a mail to support@powersimtech.com in the last week .But I didn't get any reply until now.

Do you have another contact information of local dealer and representatives in China? I really appreciate your help.
