LAUNCHXL-F28377S: C2000 Delfino DAC problem

Hello,

I am coding the launchXL-F28377S with Simulink Real Time, everything works fine except the DAC module;the first problem is the number of DAC, in the software only 3 are present and they are named as:"DAC A/B/C" but on the datasheet i clearly see that they are DAC 1/2/3/4, furthermore i can't read anything out of the DAC pin while they are programmed with Simulink to have a constant value .

Hello Federico,

Where do you see that there are four DACs in the TMS320F28377S datasheet? In all places of the datasheet I only see reference to three buffered DACs. If you look at the bottom of the Device Comparison table 3-1, it only shows three.

In the overview page of the launchXL i have DAC1 j4 pin32,DAC 2 j4 pin 31,DAC 3 j8 pin 72,DAC 4 j8 pin71

Federico,

Those are "PWM DAC" signals that are on the post-RC-filtered side of PWM outputs.

Hi Federico,

You might need to pay attention to the input values to DAC in Simunlink.

If you want DAC to output 2 V for example, you need set input as (2/3.3)*4095 to DAC block.
