Hi TI,

Just want to say 'thank you' for developing a new advanced low-cost C2000 device like TMS320F280049M.

And I just have only one proposal - to develop an derivative from this device with FRAM non-volatile module instead of FLASH, even thought it will have 12 wait-states. Just add a little bit more SRAM to compensate slow FRAM module if needed.

Thanks for your inputs. Why do you require FRAM vs. Flash? In what application is this a benefit for you?

Chris, the requirement for FRAM is in place because it has much better radioactive(alpha/gamma)/time-lasting resistance than flash. In some scenarios this is a crucial factor, but of course, not for ordinary usage. May be it shouldn't be available on open market, but under strict purpose licensing.

Thanks for the reply. Just to let you know, we have no plans for FRAM based C2000 MCUs. It just doesn't fit the need of the vast majority of our applications.

Right, since C2000 flash module has ECC and parity check feature, any particular damage can be evaluated in hardware.

Just to clarify: C2000 Flash module in TMS320F280049M has ECC feature and not the parity.
