LAUNCHXL-F28377S: Interfacing with ADC

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28377S

In the schematic SOMIC is connected to GPIO70 but there is no GPIO70 in the pin out and pin mux options. Where is it?

The ADS5560 and DAC8760 that outputs in bipolar will be connected with the Launchpad. Is two's complement or offset binary output data format chosen?

  • Hello,

GPIO70 is wired to the  CAN transceiver U3. You can Ctrl+F in the Launchpad user guide for GPIO70 to find it. This is the only place that the signal is brought out on the 100-pin F28377S device. This information is found in the device Datasheet.

I am not sure what you are asking in the second question. please look at the DAC8760 and ADS5560 for information on what data format is used.

  • GPIO70 is not wired to two 40-pin Boosterpack plug-in moudle connectors therefore *** is not available to users. Users can use SPIA and SPIB. Are they?
A 16-bit ADC outputs many digital signals to Launchpad and all of them will be input through GPIO to MCU. They will connect to two 40-pin connctors and share GPIOs except ADCINs and DACs. Is it ok?

  • in my reply *** displays as ***. I don't the reason.
