TIDM-HV-1PH-DCAC: Trouble With GUI Composer With PowerSuite Single Phase Inverter Example

Part Number: TIDM-HV-1PH-DCAC
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: POWERSUITE, CONTROLSUITE,

Customer using TIDM-HV-1PH-DCAC.  Originally with CCSv7 and ControlSuite 3.4.4 GUI Composer with the main.cfg file worked fine.  However when upgraded to CCSv7.1, ControlSuite 3.4.5 the graphical GUI on main.cfg does not come up any more.  Before on the Project Explorer, the main.cfg had the [PowerSuite] notation, but now there is no [PowerSuite] notation and no GUI interface to change the parameters.  Customer tried unistalling CCS, ControlSuite, went back to prior version of CCS, ControlSuite but nothing works.  Any suggestion?

  • Lawrence,

Every time CCS updates they must ensure powerSUITE and GUI Composer is installed.

To check powerSUITE first right click on the project name under Project Explorer and go to Project Properties->

Here go to General and click on the RTSC Tab, note the powerSUITE version box that is checked, for the latest controlSUITE release it should be v1.7.00.00

Now go to windows preferences, under CCS -> Products -> RTSC you should see all the installed powerSUITE versions,

if one in not installed, you can click "Add" and browse to the powerSUITE version directory for it to install.

Next they need to make sure GUI Composer is installed. This should be available through App Center,

I'll try to install CCSv7 on my end as well to close on the issue, but based on your description it looks like either the powerSUITE is not installed in the current CCS version or GUI Composer is not available,

make sure they start a "new workspace" whenever they move to a new CCS version as that triggers CCS to find new products and software automatically.

  • Lawrence,

I just did a new install of CCSv7.1 and installed GUI Composer runtime from it,

Looks like there is something broken in CCSv7.1

I have posted this on the forum below as a separate issue
